Road cycling tour in Turkey with a support car and breakfasts included.

Day 0, Saturday, 22 March
Airport — Marmaris
Arriving from the airport to our Marmaris hotel where we’ll spend two nights. This is true for every hotel we are staying in during this tour — as well as the fact that we always have city centre locations near the water. A joint welcome dinner is included in registration.
The support car will carry the bags & bike boxes between the hotels. And we’ll just ride. Convenient to fly in and out from the same airport, Dalaman.
Day 1, Sunday, 23 March
Marmaris
EASY: 67 km ↑ 960 m
LONG: 101 km ↑ 2000 m
Marmaris is a prominent tourist destination in Turkey. We’ll have opportunity to both explore the city and ride one of the routes extensively scouted by the tour guides. The EASY route makes a couple of loops with nice sea views, and the LONG is via diverse mountain roads with a fantastic descend at the end.
Two cyclists share a room with twin beds (or an optional double bed) and a bathroom for eight nights of the tour. Breakfasts are included.

Day 2, Monday, 24 March
Marmaris — Köyceğiz
EASY: 68 km ↑ 660 m
LONG: 112 km ↑ 2000 m
Riding to the town of Köyceğiz located on the shore of the eponimous lake. We still stay near the water — even though fresh, not sea, this time. The LONG route makes a detour to the mighty Kıran climb, that is roughly a Turkush analog of the Alpe d’Huez. The elevation difference is all in that one ascent!
Two groups each day: 64 km ↑ 860 m of elevation avg for the EASY, and 90 km ↑ 1720 m for the LONG. No commitments — feel free to decide every morning.
Day 3, Tuesday, 25 March
Köyceğiz
EASY: 68 km ↑ 660 m
LONG: 97 km ↑ 1060 m
We’re making a circle around the lake with the EASY and LONG groups taking two different ferry crossings and then having a lunch together followed by another split. These routes are not pre-scouted by the guides — but they promise to be the highlight of the tour judging by our remote exploration.
Every other day we stay in the same hotel. So if you get tired or just would like to spend time off the bike — no problem.

Day 4, Wednesday, 26 March
Köyceğiz — Fethiye
EASY: 69 km ↑ 820 m
We move on to Fethiye — which is fair to call the road & gravel cycling capital of Turkey. There’s only the EASY route this day as we should save legs for the following day’s EPIC ride. So today we’ll take it light: not rush any of the few not particularly hard climbs and chill at the Göcek marina for lunch.
There are no demanding gravel sections in the tour — it’s perfectly suitable to take part on a road bike even if with rim brakes.
Day 5, Thursday, 27 March
Fethiye
EASY: 45 km ↑ 930 m
EPIC: 83 km ↑ 2910 m
The infamous Babadağ mountain is the hardest climb ever in history of official UCI races. The full climb from the beach, which is part of the EPIC route, gains 1950 m of elevation over just 19 km. It’s possible to try to get to the top from the EASY route, without going down to the beach first, adding 31 km and 1650 m of gain where it’s possible to abort at any moment and get back down to Ölüdeniz.
Renting a road bike on site is possible — although it requires some driving around. If you need one, we can take care of that for you.

Day 6, Friday, 28 March
Fethiye — Kaş
LONG: 106 km ↑ 1360 m
The hardest non-skippable route of the tour leads us to Kaş — another gem after Fethiye for the lovers of specialty coffee and such. We’ll ride the most beautiful road in the region, if you ask us, and enjoy some pomegranate juice along the way. Almost half the elevation gain is within 5 km segment, skippable by car.
There are plenty of flights to Dalaman airport for being a tourist hub on the south of Turkey. There’re also two other airports around.
Day 7, Saturday, 29 March
Kaş
EASY: 35 km ↑ 870 m
LONG: 62 km ↑ 1860 m
The routes are shorter this day, as we want to have time to explore the town together. We’ll start from going around the peninsula, which is a must, and then do some climbing — a lighter one for the EASY group with a punchier addition for the LONG. Let’s meet at the hotel then and celebrate our journey!
How to get from the airport — and not only that — in the tour chat. We’re adding all who’ve made a booking so that everyone could follow the discussion.

Day of departure, Sunday, 30 March
Kaş — Airport
At the end of the tour we’ll have a full day to pack and get back to the airport without any rush. Safe travels!
Also in the chat, we’ll remind you what to take with you, advise how to travel by plane with the bike — and everything else you need to know.
Your guides,
Anton & Alex
