DBB — Double Bosnia Bikepacking

28 April to 4 May 2024
Belgrade → Sarajevo → Belgrade
Ended — see all tours
Timing
If you work under the Serbian public holiday schedule, you’ll only need to take two days off.
  • Serbia
    28 29 30 Apr 01 02 03 04 May
  • The EU
    28 29 30 Apr 01 02 03 04 May
Coming from the EU, you’ll need four. In any case you’ll have one or two days before work to rest after our adventure.
Routes
There’re two independent groups — riding the easy & the long courses. We’ll meet together in Sarajevo and spend two nights in the city.
The easy course starts and ends with an hour train commute from/to Belgrade — and the rest is cycling.
  • Easy course (train + bike)
    Day 1: 75 km ↑ 750 m
    Day 2: 65 km ↑ 1400 m
    Day 3: 75 km ↑ 1000 m
    Day 4: Chilling in Sarajevo
    Day 5: 90 km ↑ 1400 m
    Day 6: 95 km ↑ 800 m
    Day 7: 110 km ↑ 200 m
  • Long course (bike only)
    Day 1: 90 km ↑ 400 m
    Day 2: 75 km ↑ 750 m
    Day 3: 140 km ↑ 2400 m
    Day 4: Chilling in Sarajevo
    Day 5: 130 km ↑ 1600 m
    Day 6: 130 km ↑ 500 m
    Day 7: 80 km ↑ 150 m
Easy course is like the latest DBB Coffee Rides — 27 km/h on flat (this means 20 km/h avg in real life :) The long is just a tiny bit harder.
  • Fix the price before it goes up
The cost will somewhat increase after either group reaches 12 people, as we’ll need more ride-leaders to split and ride safely. To fix the price and guarantee your slot, it’s enough to make a prepayment of 95 €. Full payment is due before 14 April. (Upd: has already increased for the long route.)
Accommodation
Here are the photos of every hotel we’ll be staying in. Breakfasts are included. Later in the day we eat at cafes (at own expense).
Socialising
There’re 24 slots in every group — and the crowd is cool. We’re discussing preparation in special chat, so don’t miss out — submit now.
Both groups in Sarajevo? Yep, there’ll be up to 48 of us in one hotel. That’s a party!
