Durmitor Road Camp

Montenegro • 13–20 June • not a training camp
7 riding days • 600 km • 11,000 m of climbing
Durmitor, a mountainous region in Montenegro anchored by the small town of Žabljak, is often considered the most scenic cycling destination in the Balkans. We’ve been planning a camp here for a long time — our third in this beautiful country.
We begin on the morning of 13 June with a car transfer from Belgrade to Zlatibor. From there, we ride to the camp while your luggage is transported separately. If you’re arriving from outside Belgrade, you can opt to stay the night before at a 4-star hotel.
The program includes 3 mandatory A-to-B rides ↦ to and from the camp, plus 5 days at the camp with 4 optional loop rides ↺ and a mid-camp rest day ⟰. The hardest mandatory ride is 100 km with 1700 m of climbing; the average ride is 90 km with 1600 m.
I set a comfortable pace — typically around 27 km/h on flat, windless roads, though there aren’t many flats in Durmitor. You can suggest shorter or longer rides — I have more routes than we have days.

We’ll stay in premium villas, with a double bed and private bathroom for everyone.
There’s a shared space for cooking breakfast and eating together. For dinner, we can order delivery or dine in town.
We’ll split meal costs via an app that tracks everyone’s expenses.
